About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trade Counter Salesperson to join our friendly team at our Rutherford branch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys face-to-face customer interaction, and takes pride in providing practical solutions for our trade and retail customers. As part of your day, youll: Deliver exceptional over-the-counter customer service and technical product support. Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and ensure invoicing accuracy. Assist with warehousing duties, including stock receipt, pick/pack, and delivery coordination. Operate a forklift and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace. Work closely with your team and Branch Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. This is a hands-on role where every day brings varietyfrom serving loyal trade customers to managing stock and supporting warehouse logistics. What Were Looking For Youre a motivated and reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for great service. To succeed in this role, youll need: Previous experience in trade counter sales, warehouse, or similar environment. A current Manual Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence (essential). Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills. A can-do attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer literacy (experience with stock management systems such as M3 is advantageous). Knowledge of the plumbing or building industry (highly regarded). Why Join Us?
