About the role The Nurse Unit Manager Esk Health is a Registered Nurse who is recognised as an advanced level practitioner with expertise in nursing leadership. This role will also demonstrate expertise and leadership skills within Esk Health which includes knowledge of contemporary nursing practice; and extensive knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to apply specialised knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory in rural hospital nursing and to participate directly and indirectly in the delivery of clinical care. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, strong teams within a framework of open communication and the establishment of a positive environment across the broad clinical interprofessional team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others. Demonstrated contemporary management knowledge and skills specifically the ability to deliver effective human resource management and advanced financial literacy within the healthcare environment. Demonstrated legislation / policy knowledge and the ability to develop documents supporting the application of same.
