West Gippsland Healthcare Group Warragul VIC Fixed Term Part Time positions, 48 to 64 hours per fortnight Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP4 - YP09) An exciting opportunity awaits at West Gippsland Healthcare Group for Registered Nurses or Midwives to join our Paediatrics or Special Care Nursery teams while advancing their expertise through postgraduate studies in these specialty areas. This is a fixed-term, parttime position available at 0.6 or 0.8 FTE. The role is specifically designed for nurses/midwives committed to completing postgraduate qualifications during their employment. Preferred Candidate Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Minimum 3 years of experience postgraduate year in the relevant specialty Enrol in and complete postgraduate studies relevant to the area(s) of practice while employed Advantageous Experience / Qualifications Dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife with AHPRA Understanding of and commitment to the Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) in relevant areas (e.g., maternity, special care nursery) Understanding of current neonatal and paediatrics practice appropriate to clinical allocation The successful candidates are expected to enrol into the following courses at Federation University for the 2026 Semester 1 intake. Graduate Certificate in Health (Paediatric Nursing) | Federation University Graduate Diploma of Health (Neonatal Care) | Federation University Important Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
