As a leader in the Angus breed, the stud annually supplies 800 bulls to the market through two onproperty auction sales, private sales, and lease arrangements with an alliance of commercial breeders across the eastern states. Their breeding program is strategically focused on operating cattle under genuine commercial conditions, utilising large contemporary groups to ensure the accuracy of data and research outcomes. The Role Te Mania Angus is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to take on a key role within their familyowned and operated business. This position involves active participation in all aspects of the operation, including, but not limited to: managing the performance recording programme (bulls), assisting with sale bull development, running the joining programme, and executing pasture management and grazing plans. Reporting to the Farm Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to join a young and vibrant team in the role of Leading Hand. The successful applicant will assist in all aspects of cattle husbandry, primarily conducted on ag bikes, in addition to general infrastructure maintenance and repair, including fencing, with some mechanical aptitude preferred. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, be punctual, and have excellent communication skills. The Offer An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the successful applicant''s experience and skills, will be negotiated, along with an accommodation package that includes both onfarm and offfarm options. Telephone, working dog food, and electricity allowances are to be included, paired with the provision of wetweather clothing.
