Vocational Services Supervisor Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria Position located at Western Plains Correctional Centre in Lara. Salary: $97,955 $111,142 per year, plus super. Responsibilities Lead and support recreation and vocational services staff to run programs that improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Plan, organise and supervise safe and engaging recreational, cultural and sporting activities. Develop and review programs that build work readiness and help people prepare for employment and community life. Ensure safety procedures are followed and equipment is used correctly in line with OHS standards. Collaborate with staff, contractors and community partners to improve services and increase participation. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification or proven track record in the delivery of recreation and events is desirable. Experience running recreation and fitness programs for different groups and working well with a range of staff and partners. Good understanding of how correctional centres operate. Experience managing people, resources and workloads to ensure smooth program delivery. Strong teamwork and communication skills to support and motivate others.
