This is an opportunity to join a high performing team, working collaboratively towards a future production profile of up to half a million ounces of gold annually.Job DescriptionThe opportunityWe are currently looking for an experienced Metallurgical Technician to join the team at our Duketon operation.This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) fromPerth.The main responsibilities of this role include:Perform hydrometallurgical and mineral processing sampling duties and test work procedures such as leach testwork, bottle rolls, routine belt cuts, sizing etc.Set up and conduct routine and non-routine testwork programs under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisors and MetallurgistsMaintenance and calibration of in-field sensors and analysers, e.g. Cynoprobe online cyanide analyserPerforming sampling audits across the processing plantWet chemistry (e.g. aqua regia and bottle roll testwork)Size analysis, filtering, drying and sample submissions for external analysisPrepare working stock, calibration and reagent solutions as directedInspecting of the workplace to identify and correct hazards and equipment failuresConducting analyses in accordance with specified standards and proceduresIdentifying and reporting errors arising during analysesRecording and reporting results in appropriate formatsMaintaining accurate records of analytical resultsMaintaining and cleaning laboratory equipmentDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout youTo be successful for this role, you will have:Demonstrated site-based experience as a Laboratory Operator or Metallurgical TechnicianHave demonstrated skills in report writing, spreadsheets, sample preparation and wet chemistryExperience with reporting, written communication, numeracy & data analysisAttention to detail, enthusiasm to learn, be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot problems as they ariseHave a willingness to work night shift when requiredWhat we can offer:Employee service awards, social club functions and staff milestone celebrationsEmployee benefits package including discounts across a large range of retailersEmployee referral incentivesCollaborative work environment where your input mattersSupportive and highly experienced leadership teamWellbeing support for you and your family for personal and professional matters (EAP)Competitive salary with annual incentives for eligible employeesAs Regis Resources continues its evolution from mid-tier gold miner to Top 5 Australian gold producer, this is an exciting time to join our company.We pride ourselves on building a team first culture that is focused on growth, profitability and success within a Zero Harm working environment.Your own career pathway is vitally important, and we will work with you to provide opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.We value the unique backgrounds, experiences and contributions that each person brings to our workforce and we continue to encourage and celebrate diversity.
