Byron Bay Golf Club Byron Bay Golf Club is a members owned facility that is currently ranked in the Top 100 Public Access Golf Courses in Australia. Over the past 2 decades the 18 Hole Championship Golf Course has undertaken various largescale inhouse projects to raise the playability standards and level of golfing expectations and experiences. Over the next few years, we are in the final stages of completing some further major works to enhance the golf course and its appeal to the golfing market. We are currently seeking applications to fill this full time salary position that will play an integral role in the direction of the Golf Course to continually elevate the offering for our Members and Guests. This is a fantastic opportunity to join and lead our dedicated and passionate Golf Course Management Team as we continue to evolve and inspire to be a leading golf destination. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about their career path and has the ability to take ownership of the property as an industry leader. The 120acre property consists of 328 putting surfaces and monostand Wintergreen fairways and surrounds. 42 Kustom Bind/Bunker Drain refurbished bunkers in the past 4 years, along with the completion of fairway irrigation upgrades completed in 2020 and a new pump set installed in June2024 currently servicing our unlimited water supply. The Role The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiastic approach to their career path and a strong eye for detail in Turf and Golf Course Management. They will be willing to look outside the box and continually seek the edge to improve the golf course and the way it is managed. This key management position will require a flexible, versatile team player who has a strong understanding of the golf course requirements, including the day to day, short term and longterm goals, and efficiencies required to meet the high level of presentation, expectations and improvements. The Superintendent will work within a fastpaced environment to meet timelines, objectives and manage staff accordingly to achieve these results with autonomy. As the Golf Course Superintendent, you will manage all the following key aspects of the Golf Course Management operation. Key Responsibilities Manage the Golf Course Maintenance Team 6FTE and 3Casuals. Experience in producing the operating and capital expense budgets. Manage the current $1.1M+ operating budget. Produce monthly reports to the Board of Directors and various Committees. Strong background in golf course construction (most projects completed in house). Manage all onsite projects within the Course Improvement Plan to achieve the desired outcomes. Manage the maintenance and repairs of an extensive fleet of TORO Equipment and future procurement as per the replacement/rollover plan. Manage all components to maintain WHS compliance. Plan and program all golf course maintenance, renovations and capital projects. Engage contractors and produce quotes as required. Deliver presentations to the Membership. Provide training to all team members. Position Requirements 3 5 Years experience in a similar senior management role. Cert III Turf Management (Diploma in Horticulture Turf / Diploma of Sports Turf Management preferred). Certified Sports Turf Manager C #J-18808-Ljbffr
