About Girl Guides We are Australias leading volunteer organisation for girls and young women. Our mission is to empower girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. About This Opportunity As a Volunteer Leader, you will develop and deliver fun creative activities for girls in a safe and friendly environment. Leaders become part of the Girl Guide Unit, which is grouped by age from 5 onwards. You will receive training and support throughout your volunteer journey and be part of a global organisation of over 10million women and girls. Girls attend weekly meetings at the Guide Hall during the school term, usually 1.52hours each. Allow extra time for these days, planning meetings with other Leaders once or twice a term, and occasional weekend outdoor activities and camps which are optional but encouraged.
