We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) - Birth Suite, PAC and Women''s Health Clinic to lead and inspire highperforming teams across a variety of specialised units at our progressive healthcare facility. This role is permanent, full time. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. This stateoftheart facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, its set to care for over 200,000 patients annually and birth 1,700 babies within the first year! Salary range: $76.80 per hour plus superannuation and access to notforprofit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits! What youll be doing As a MUM, you will play a pivotal role in clinical leadership, operational management and driving excellence in patientcentred care. You''ll be supported by a collaborative leadership team and encouraged to lead innovation and continuous improvement in your unit. About you You will have a minimum of five years full time experience in the relevant area as a Midwifery Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse or other leadership role: Extensive leadership experience within a nursing unit in a complex hospital environment Demonstrated competence in cost centre management. Highlevel interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at various levels to achieve Current AHPRA Nursing registration Experienced in opening a new ward is desirable Mater is Queenslands largest notforprofit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
