To achieve this vision, the WHS Directorate will develop, implement, and continuously improve the Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) to align with legislative requirements and communities needs. WHS strategies will support Communities broader goals, focusing on reducing harm, injuries, and associated costs. Roles The WHS Directorate is seeking to establish a pool of suitable candidates to fill any permanent and temporary vacancies that arise in the following Level 4 and Level 5 roles over the next 12 months: Workplace Safety Consultant, Level 4 With guidance, Consultants provide consultancy and advisory services to managers and employees on the effective implementation and use of the Departments WHS Management System and other WHS systems, policies, standards and processes. Providing representation and administration on a range of organisational risks and Work Health and Safety (WHS) issues. Assisting with the development of proactive and effective strategies, related policies and procedures to manage potentially high-risk workforce issues within the Department. Assisting with compiling statistical information to inform the teams overall reporting requirements which aid in the monitoring and adaptation of work practices, policies, processes and local operating procedures. Senior Consultant Workplace Safety, Level 5 Senior Consultants undertake WHS consultation and practices that are proactive, solution focused and responsive to customer needs. The role also provides operational services including: Providing advice to leadership. Development and delivery of training. Representation and administration on a range of organisational risks and occupational safety and health issues. Contributing towards the research, development and implementation of strategies to improve physical and psychosocial health in the workplace.
