Our organisation, Momentum Mental Health, is seeking applications for Mental Health Wellbeing Coaches to join our team on a fulltime or parttime basis, servicing the Western Downs & South Burnett regions. The successful applicants will live locally in these regions & be able to service clients in Chinchilla, Miles, Dalby, Kingaroy; the service locations will be determined by the successful applicants residence & experience.Momentum Mental Health is a community mental health organisation that offers both clinical & nonclinical mental health & wellbeing support across the Toowoomba, Southern & Western Downs & South Burnett regions. Momentum Mental Health Wellbeing Coaches deliver psychosocial support to people 16 years and older. Our services include evidencebased group and 1:1 coaching sessions facetoface, over the phone and online. The services offered are nonclinical and designed to support people with severe and/or persistent needs, who want to work on their mental health and wellbeing.We are looking for likeminded, experienced staff who align with our values, who are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop and are ready to contribute to the lives of those we support.The kind of people we are looking for:Wellbeing Coaches will have as a minimum a Certificate IV in Mental Health (or equivalent). A Bachelor''s degree (or working to complete) e.g. Bachelor of Psychology/Social Services/Mental Health, Community Services or qualifications in a related sector (e.g. Community Services) is preferred.Lived and/or learned experience in working with people on their mental wellbeing is highly regarded. They will be comfortable in both facilitating groups and 1:1 coaching.Can demonstrate high performance and clientcentric approach to service delivery (both in groups and 1:1).Can demonstrate their understanding of the role of coaching in recovery and application of these skills in a 1:1 or group setting.Work empathically with a full caseload of individuals on unique mental health recovery journeys.Reliability, punctuality and attention to personal presentation along with a positive, cando attitude and an ability to rolemodel these traits to inspire clients.This role will require the successful applicants to live locally (Chinchilla, Miles, Dalby or Kingaroy).You will be supported in this role by our Wellbeing Coach Manager, other Wellbeing Coaches & the Momentum Mental Health corporate team.The jobThese roles are offered as fulltime (38 hrs/week) or parttime (minimum 22.5 hrs/week) with some flexibility offered in the spread of hours across the weekdays. Onthejob training is provided for suitable applicants.In this role you will:Deliver group coaching programs and 1:1 coaching sessions to a consistent, high standard.Work with clients face to face and online to maintain connection and actively encourage them as they work on their recovery goals.Work as part of a team bringing energy to every day, supporting each other, being engaged and empowered to seek information and support when required.Maintain positive relationships and referral pathways with key providers in the region.Demonstrate commitment to cultural safety, with the ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.Uphold our values and behaviours and actively contribute to a positive, energetic workplace culture.Other skills we expect you to have include:Resilience and compassion, where managing a high workload is essential.
