MercyCare Companion Volunteer Kelmscott WA MercyCare, supported by Armadale Volunteer Services, is looking for a Companion/Activities volunteer to join our Aged Care services team at our Kelmscott Residential Aged Care Home. Can you offer friendship and companionship to an isolated senior in the Kelmscott area? You will make a difference, building a valuable social connection and improved wellbeing with regular social visits typically once a week for a minimum of 2 hours. Responsibilities Offer friendship and companionship to isolated seniors. Build valuable social connections and improve residents wellbeing through regular visits. Provide companionship and social support to seniors from diverse backgrounds. Enhance residents quality of life, reduce loneliness and isolation. Maintain residents mental health by reducing stress and slowing cognitive decline. Qualifications & Requirements Good communicator able to develop rapport quickly. Enjoy conversations and being around older people. Commit to regular work more than 6 months. Training will be provided.
