Due to expansion and continued growth we are looking for an experienced additional Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.Modern and well maintained fleetTrailer servicing and repairsImmediate startThe CompanyGriffith Corporation is a Brisbane north side based transportation company, predominantly providing overnight line haul services along the eastern seaboard. Our fleet currently consists of 90 Prime Movers and 120 Trailers.The CandidateTo be successful in obtaining this role you must have:A trade certificate in mechanical or automotive disciplines is required.Trailer fleet service & repair experience from brake re-lines, axle replacements, turntable repairs and fitting and turning.Proven work history within the Heavy Vehicle repair industry.Minimum 3-5 years of heavy vehicle repair experience is required.Proven organizational skills.The ability to work unsupervised.Ideally, fleet maintenance / servicing experience with Vawdrey and Kruger trailers.HR License and/or Forklift License would be an advantage.Valid Australian work visa or citizenship is required.The RoleThe role would suit an experienced Heavy stream trailer fleet mechanic who has experience with all trailer makes and some truck knowledge. You will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the fleet including scheduled maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance. You must be a person who is results driven, selfmanaging with a "can do" attitude and have a high standard of work ethic (incorporating OEM, QLD Transport standards). Reporting to the Fleet manager, the role is workshop based as well as off site, a service vehicle is provided for all off site work. The Company provides ongoing training and support.
