Australian Ilmenite Resources (AIR) is recruiting an experienced Cook/Cleaner for our remote mining operation in the Northern Territory. This is a drive indrive out position generally commencing from the Darwin Head office to the mine site 550 km SSE of Darwin. The location is remote, about 125 km due east of Mataranka in a tropical environment. The roster will be 2 weeks on and 2 week off overlapping with your alternate cook/cleaner. The AIR Camp has 50 rooms with a complement on site at any time to 20 workers +/- 5 About the jobYou will be responsible for performing the following duties in accordance with operational requirements: Cook, preparing 3 meals per day on an 11 to 12 hour shift Maintaining kitchen and dining room cleanliness to health standards Laundry duties Ordering kitchen and cleaning supplies General cleaning duties for the site facilities shared with your alternate cook/cleaner. Experience and Qualifications To be successful, you should have had at least 2 years experience as a cook cleaner in a similar environment and are required to have a certificate in food handling safety from a recognized institution. Other formal cooking qualifications will be favorably regarded. Why choose AIR?
