Join to apply for the Head of Planning role at MYER Join Myers Planning Leadership team as the Head of Planning - Hardgoods and be accountable for leading the merchandise planning function to optimise sales, gross profit, and inventory productivity across aligned categories. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership on forecasting, open-to-buy management, allocation, replenishment, and inventory investment decisions, ensuring alignment with company strategy and growth objectives. About the Role Define and execute the merchandise planning strategy to align with company vision and growth targets. Partner with Merchandise, Finance, Supply Chain, and Stores to deliver sales, profit, and inventory KPIs. Lead long-term planning processes, including 3-year plans and seasonal strategies. Oversee aligned planning functions including financial planning, range planning, demand forecasting, allocation, and replenishment. Support and lead the open-to-buy process, ensuring alignment to sales forecasts, margin goals, and working capital requirements with the MPMs. Optimise inventory flow from suppliers to distribution centres and stores, improving availability while minimising markdowns and aged stock. Establish and monitor key planning metrics such as sell-through, forecast accuracy, stock turns, and availability. Build strong partnerships with Inventory Managers and teams to deliver best-inclass inventory and availability benchmarks. Create a high-performance culture through clear KPIs, coaching, mentoring, training, and development opportunities. Lead and influence sound stock management practices. Influence stock management practices across Planning, Buying, Support, and Store teams, as well as senior executives. About You At least 5 years experience in Senior planning role or retail equivalent 3-5 years people leadership experience, including leading leaders Proven track record of delivering sales, profit, and inventory KPIs. Strong retail, financial, and business acumen with excellent analytical skills. Strong ability to influence at an executive level Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a medium sized team Ability to influence and engage at an executive level. Demonstrated experience leading medium-sized teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships. Proficiency in planning systems and technology. Bachelors degree/diploma in Fashion Merchandise Management, Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Business, or Economics (preferred but not essential).
