If yes, then the Head of Student Support and Compliance may be for you! You will work alongside Education supports, Teachers and a Wellbeing team in delivering a flexible and innovative learning program to facilitate transitional education of young people who have many issues impacting on their capacity to engage in mainstream programs. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient management of day-to-day student operations, and you will support the Principal on matters of compliance, operations, and strategic planning. The role leads a team of Education Assistants and a wellbeing team alongside developing policies, processes and procedures to encourage effective communication and a safe and productive learning environment. As the Head of Student Support and Compliance, you will: Inspire and Influence Lead with a vision that prioritises child safety. Engage with students, staff and stakeholders to shape a meaningful future for the Academy. Provide leadership to ensure every student has the opportunity and motivation to reach their goals. Drive Excellence Develop policies, service models, processes, and systems to deliver a safe and supportive learning environment for our students and staff members. Maximise Impact Strategically coordinate people and physical resources to achieve the best outcomes for students and their families. This role will be located in Kenwick and offered on a permanent full time work basis working 76 hours a fortnight. About You You are someone who thrives in environments where leadership, empathy, and strategic thinking intersect. You bring a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable young people and are passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning spaces. Your ability to manage people, engage stakeholders, and navigate complex compliance landscapes makes you a trusted advisor and role model across the organisation. In addition, you will have: A recognised qualification in teaching and currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia. Certificate IV in Training and Assessing TAE40116 (Desirable) Experience in a similar role, including experience working with vulnerable young people living in complex circumstances. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and people management skills. Advanced organisational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Knowledge of CaLD and Aboriginal culture and family dynamics Working knowledge of disabilities or conditions including, but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and complex trauma. Experience using TASS school management system (desirable) Valid drivers licence, Working with Children Check, Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date).
