With over 3700 students across four campuses, Caulfield Grammar passionately strives to deliver innovative specialist educational programs enabling quality learning every day, in every experience, for every learner, for life.The RoleCaulfield Grammar School has a proud history in APSS swimming, and we are looking to appoint a Head of Swimming with a strong vision to lead a progressive program and drive excellence throughout all phases of the swimming program.The Head of APSS swimming will develop and implement a season plan and coaching programme to support and develop the APS swimming team and specialist coaches. You will explore, present, and deliver strategies to further promote and strengthen swimming through both internal and external opportunities.This is a short term 3 month opportunity for the duration of Term 1, with the view/possibility to extend employment at the conclusion of the APS season.Fixed Term Opportunity based at Caulfield & Wheelers Hill Campus, Part Time on Tuesdays from 11am 4pm, Thursdays from 3pm 6pm and all scheduled APS swim meets on Saturday from 7am 2pm. (Including the APS Finals Night & All Schools competition)Key DutiesManage all aspects of the CGS APS swimming programInspire our APS swimming community to reach their full potential by engaging and developing our dedicated team of swimming support staff, coaches and studentsHold a vision for how to maximise the opportunity for a large multicampus school in APS swimming across all levelsOffer a strong technical base and a willingness to educate othersAttend training sessions, camps, fixtures and complete any administrative tasks in a timely mannerModel and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviourSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience managing a swimming program or similar environment will be highly regardedStrong time management and leadership skillsHold appropriate compliance and coaching accreditationAbility to communicate and form strong relationships with key stakeholdersStrong knowledge of swimming technique (Teaching or Education experience is preferred)Hold and maintain an Employment Working With Children CheckLevel 1 First Aid certificate (including Anaphylaxis Management Training)Why Caulfield Grammar SchoolOur culture is defined by the five values: Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Creativity, Thriving Together, Embracing Diversity, and Living Wholeheartedly.
