Board Director - Expressions of Interest Djerriwarrh Employment And Education Services Melton VIC About Us Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services (Djerriwarrh) is a highly regarded notforprofit charitable organisation that has been delivering high quality education, training, employment and youth programs in the western suburbs of Melbourne since 1989. Djerriwarrhs purpose is to support people and communities to learn, connect and grow. Djerriwarrh works in partnership with the community, other communitybased organisations, participants/clients and local, state and federal governments. Djerriwarrh also delivers on its purpose and vision with an Independent Senior Secondary Specialist Assistance School, Djerriwarrh Community College, based in Melton. Board Opportunity The Board is seeking a new Board Director who has a strong personal commitment to the organisations purpose and the ability to contribute at a strategic governance level. Experience and qualifications in accounting (CPA/CA preferred) are highly valued. We strongly encourage expressions of interest from Aboriginal peoples, people from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, gender and sexually diverse people, young people and people with a disability. Board positions are honorary and will commence in early 2026. Directors are expected to attend regular Board meetings and participate in committee work as required. A Director holds office for a term of three years. Responsibilities Attend regular Board meetings. Participate in committee work as required. Contribute at a strategic governance level. Qualifications Strong commitment to the organisations purpose and values. Experience or qualifications in accounting (CPA/CA preferred).
