About the role We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team, with flexibility for either fulltime or parttime engagement negotiable, based in the Derwent Valley. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the organisations financial operations, providing guidance on financial strategy, planning, and ensuring long-term fiscal stability. You will lead a dedicated team handling accounts processing, finance, contracts, and property management functions. As a member of both the Executive Team and the Boards Finance, Risk and Audit SubCommittee, you will play an integral role in the leadership and governance of the organisation. You will be working closely with the CEO and executive management team to contribute to the development and execution of longterm goals, strategic initiatives, and organisational policies. Additionally, your commitment to continuous learning and innovation will drive ongoing improvements in the organisations financial processes, ensuring the longterm financial health and success of the business. Duties will include, but are not limited to Ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively within a compliance framework. Ensure relevant policies are maintained and appropriate procedures are undertaken in accordance with legislative requirements. Ensure timely performance feedback is conducted with team members identifying learning needs and ensuring access to appropriate training. Ensure a rigorous quality assurance program is implemented. Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company. This includes longterm financial planning and forecasting, risk management, and investment strategies. Oversee Creditor & Debtor process. Manage the cash and payment handling systems of the organisation. Ensure liquidity management is in line with Corumbenes policies. Preparation of reports, budgets and forecasts; including CAPEX Budgets, with input from all stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of Board Papers, and business cases. Oversee the management of resident funds. Essential Skills and Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Finance, leadership, other qualifications and experience deemed relevant to the position Current National Police Certificate that satisfies the requirements of the Aged Care Act and other Acts and requirements from time to time Genuine interest and commitment to the holistic wellbeing of the Corumbene community Demonstrated high level of motivation and ability to achieve effective outcomes with limited supervision Capacity to positively influence others to achieve ethical, effective and efficient business practices Ability to manage busy workloads and respond to changing priorities Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated organisational and time management skillsCommitment to personal and professional development Ability to work independently and flexibly in a team environment Understanding and application of contemporary legislation, principles and practice Knowledge and experience in the use of relevant software (e.g. Inerva and Ideagen/CompliSpace) Previous experience working in a Not for Profit organisation Why Corumbene?
