Overview The Group Strategy Director (GSD) at Zenith Media Brisbane leads strategic excellence across key paid client accounts, ensuring the robust application of Zenith''s ROI3 process (Insight, Imagination, Investment). Be a driving force of imagination and innovation specifically with all clients FTE''d. Be a leader within Zenith Brisbane to reinforce the connected planning process and hold client teams to a level of excellence. The GSD partners closely with the Head of Strategy to translate strategic direction into client-specific, results-driven initiatives. The role includes responsibility for driving commercial growth through client satisfaction, new business pitches, and fostering an environment of innovation and imagination. Responsibilities Client Strategy Leadership Lead and deliver strategic excellence for assigned paid clients in collaboration with client teams. Develop plans for clients that deliver on business and campaign goals that go above what is asked. Look for opportunities to stretch/ challenge thinking from marketing principles to innovation. Drive long term strategic goals and narratives for client patch Apply and champion the Zenith ROI3 framework, particularly the Zen 30 strategic approach, consistently across all client work and any pitches. Ensure strategies are anchored in client business KPIs and measurement plans that align and contribute to client objectives and business outcomes (ROI) Champion our market leading tools with focus on CX Planning suite, Touchpoints, Imagine Panel and ensure these are part of key client responses Demonstrate and champion a clear link between media currencies and client success metrics, and show how we are accountable to deliver increased ROI Clearly align client campaign strategies with defined business objectives and measurable KPIs. Innovation and Imagination Develop and work that delivers innovative and exciting media concepts that set new standards of excellence, with potential for PR and awards. Identify and nurture imaginative media solutions and innovations for client campaigns as well as wider business strategy. Be a champion of distinctive, award-winning strategic work across key clients. Contribute actively to Zeniths Imagination initiatives and products, showcasing strategic innovation both internally and externally. New Business Contribution Actively participate in pitches, to represent a strong strategic position for our agency in market. Lead strategic solutions, articulating a compelling Zenith POV to prospective clients. Convert strategic insights and or products like Touchpoints / imagine panel etc. into client wins, increased FTE or additional project work for the strategy team. Collaboration and Partnerships Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor. Work with SLT to create/ engage work that gets media innovation updates, trends, opportunities in front of contracted clients, with ability to be repurposed across other client teams. Collaborate effectively with media partners and external creative agencies to deliver integrated client solutions and innovative uses of media. Work closely with media partners to bring the latest approaches in market to Zenith. Foster a feeling of mutual respect and benefit for parties involved. Be an active part of media briefings for big planning opportunities and ideas on clients. Regularly identify and introduce new market opportunities to clients proactively. Collaborate with Planning and Business teams to support client briefs to deliver integrated work, championing the Zen30 process, mentoring ROI Connect, Zen 30 and Planning Fundamentals where necessary. Collaborate with Planning and Business teams to champion imagination / innovation, and combines data with creative and instinctive application of channels, platforms and formats to bring your strategy to life. Collaborate internally to bring product experts into strategy when required to offer forward thinking or new solutions to clients. Qualifications Strategic Product Excellence Proven experience delivering high-quality, insight-led strategic solutions that drive strong client outcomes and satisfaction. Track record of developing innovative, effective campaigns with industry recognition, evidenced through case studies, trade press, or award submissions. Commercial Impact Demonstrated ability to grow client strategic investment and resource allocation through the value of strategic leadership. Experience contributing meaningfully to new business efforts, with a history of successful pitch involvement and revenue growth outcomes. Innovation and Thought Leadership Active contributor to agency-wide innovation initiatives and thought leadership programs. Experience delivering at least one award-recognised or industry-acclaimed strategic campaign annually. Client Partnership and Influence Strong client relationship management experience, reflected in consistently high satisfaction scores and positive feedback. Proven ability to proactively engage senior stakeholders and influence client business growth through strategic thinking.
