Join our Water and Sewer team in an awardwinning local government organisation. This role supports the Manager Water and Sewer by leading and managing a team of engineering and technical staff in planning for efficient and effective water supply and sewerage systems. This includes costeffective delivery of a program of capital works, provision of technical advice to ensure appropriate developercontributed asset creation, and contribution to strategic planning that informs Council''s Delivery Program and annual Operational Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an everchanging dynamic team within the MidWestern Regional Council. This role is a fulltime, based on site in Mudgee. We offer a competitive Total Remuneration Package (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) over a 19day month and long service leave after 5 years. A leaseback vehicle is available as part of the package. Key Accountabilities Coordinate engineering and technical services consistent with legislative requirements and Council''s Community Plan. Assist in the development and maintenance of Council''s strategic plans for water supply and sewer systems. Coordinate the planning, development and delivery of effective capital works and compliance programs for water supply and sewerage infrastructure including budget preparation and program cost control. Set and manage project performance expectations with team members, contractors and stakeholders; and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate resources. Coordinate advice to Council''s Planning Department and Development Engineering Team regarding requirements for and assessment of developercontributed water and sewer assets. Manage a team of technical staff to develop and maintain effective asset management systems including development of asset maintenance plans. Coordinate and deliver projects and outcomes in accordance with budget allocations and strategic priorities. Engage and coordinate contractors in accordance with Council''s policies, procedures and delegations. Prepare clear and concise reports to Council and relevant governing bodies on issues as they relate to this position. Promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment Statement. This role requires a satisfactory Police History Criminal Check prior to commencing.
