Azzco Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to drive operational excellence, lead a diverse technical workforce and contribute to strategic business growth. About the Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this senior leadership position oversees Engineering Production and Warehouse operations, including People & Culture responsibilities, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales support and Installation works. You will guide and mentor a skilled team, including supervisors, tradespeople, technicians, and apprentices, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead daily workshop and site operations, allocating tasks and providing technical guidance. Develop KPIs and performance benchmarks with the Process Manager to drive efficiency. Ensure all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. People & Culture Mentor, develop, and motivate employees to support highperformance outcomes. Manage performance, recruitment recommendations, and provide constructive feedback. Run toolbox meetings and actively promote team engagement. Customer & Stakeholder Management Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Resolve customer queries and follow through on complaints to ensure positive outcomes. Assist Sales with engineering enquiries and participate in tender and quoting activities. Project & Business Management Use Microsoft Project and ERP system (Ostendo) to manage resources, jobs, and costings. Support strategic initiatives, growth planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement. Promote accurate inventory control, stock management, and materials issuing. Quality, Safety & Compliance Uphold Azzcos OHS, quality, and environmental standards. Conduct site inspections, incident reporting, and implement safe operating procedures. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional conduct. About You We are looking for a proactive, peopleoriented leader with strong technical capabilities and a passion for operational excellence. Essential Experience & Qualifications Proven experience leading teams in engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments. Competency on Microsoft Office, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word. Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Strong project management skills across scope, budget and timelines. Ability to read and analyse drawings, schedule resources, and quote jobs. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of HR, OHS, environmental standards and quality assurance. Current Drivers Licence, Construction Induction (White Card) and Forklift Licence. Desirable First Aid Certificate.
