About the Program: Resilient CARE is a three-year, place-based program working across five Queensland LGAs (Rockhampton, Livingstone, Bundaberg, Fraser Coast and Gladstone) to strengthen community and primary healthcare resilience to disasters and climate impacts. The program supports better preparedness, response and recovery by improving integration across local health systems and increasing participation of those most at risk, including people with disability, older people, First Nations communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and women experiencing domestic violence. ABVs skilled business volunteers support local, community-led action by building the resilience of primary healthcare providers, local health systems, not-for-profit organisations and communities. Our volunteers work directly with community partners to strengthen local systems and structures and build local capacity to embed disaster resilience in community and health services. Purpose of the Role: Coral Coast Physiotherapy & Allied Health is a for-profit health provider looking to diversify its revenue streams and build a sustainable business model. The organisation is exploring the establishment of a not-for-profit arm or foundation that will enable it to apply for grants, tenders, and community funding opportunities. This will support the expansion of services into community health projects and rural outreach programs to reach climate-impacted regions across Bundaberg. The deliverables of this Assignment are: Review the organisations current business model and opportunities. Conduct a business analysis of options for setting up a not-forprofit or foundation. Develop a comparative assessment of different structural models, including potential risks and benefits. Recommend governance and compliance frameworks to support the new entity. Provide a stepbystep plan for setting up the notforprofit or foundation, including incorporation and compliance requirements. Map how this structure will support access to community funding opportunities (e.g. CCQ Grants, state/federal health tenders). Selection Criteria: Strong background in business analysis, strategy or organisational development, ideally within health, sport or community sectors. Experience facilitating business planning and theory of change processes with leaders and boards. Ability to assess complex organisations and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations. Skilled in mentoring and capacitybuilding, with a focus on developing tools for local use. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to build trust with leaders and guide them through sensitive business discussions.
