What Youll Be Doing Provide safe, compassionate, personcentred care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of maternity care. Work 8hour solo shifts (77) in the maternity ward of Broken Hill Hospital. Care for admitted ante/postnates and specialcare nursery babies. Act as second midwife at birth, providing support and mentorship to students and junior midwives. Assist on the ward and for intrapartum care as needed in collaboration with consultant locum obstetricians and a closeknit team of BMids, newgraduate midwives and students. How To Apply When applying, ensure you thoroughly address the selection criteria: Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to patient care in a multidisciplinary team. Evidence of applying evidencebased practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised personcentred care. Ability to interact with others professionally and resolve conflicts when they arise. Commitment to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families to enhance health outcomes. Evidence of participation in professional development and willingness to share expertise with colleagues. Understanding of evidencebased best practice and its impact on policy and practice changes within the organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
