Permanent Full Time 80 hours per fortnight (with a monthly ADO) About The Role The Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic (SURC) provides a pathway for the rapid assessment, symptom and psychological support to patients and their families, receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) as well as disease related symptoms. The role also supports the facilitation of educational and learning opportunities for oncology nurses and collaborates internally across a variety of stakeholder groups. Key Responsibilities Patient assessment and triage of planned and unplanned calls from patient/carers for symptom advice and management Assessment, triage and management of clinical presentation for symptom review and support Lead and develop the SURC service in collaboration with key stakeholders Support patients receiving SACT across various oncology services both locally and within the Grampians region Deliver education services to both patients and staff Support and promote oncology nursing leadership within the Directorate Skills and Experience Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration Significant recent oncology/haematology experience Demonstrated understanding of the needs of patients receiving SACT Excellent organisational and time-management skills Highly developed communication skills Advanced level computer skills Ability to work autonomously Team player Apply Click APPLY or if you wish to discuss the role prior to applying, contact Jane Ryan, Nurse Unit Manager on 03 5320 4389 for a confidential discussion. The classification is Clinical Nurse Consultant (ZF4ZJ4) which ranges from $59.79$62.94 per hour.
