About the Role This exciting and autonomous support role will partner with a dynamic and enterprising Director driven to make a difference, and this position will join them on the journey. Providing high-level administrative and strategic support, the position will be responsible for management of the directorate''s daily operations, communications, and governance requirements. Fostering relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders, including Councillors, Executives, government bodies, and the community. Additionally, the role involves leading and coordinating diverse projects, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery within the directorate. Reporting to the Director Communities the core responsibilities include: Communication manage key communications for the Office of the Director, including writing, editing, and distributing content across various platforms including publications, presentations, website content, social media, and performance reports. Project management and coordination lead and support a diverse range of projects within the directorate ensuring they are planned, executed and delivered on time. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to achieve strategic objectives and sustainable outcomes for the community. Relationship and stakeholder management establish effective relationships and partnerships with Councillors, Executive members, internal teams, and the community. Act as a liaison, addressing confidential and sensitive inquiries, and supporting collaboration across the organization to deliver strategic projects and services. About You Experience in coordinating others and supporting a leadership group, preferably within local government. Strong business acumen and a strategic thinker. Outstanding communication skills written, verbal and effective. Flexible mindset and attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement, customer service and team collaboration.
