NT Department of Corrections Location: Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, NT. Role: Trainee Correctional Officer Posted 2 days ago Remuneration Package: $69,316 - $108,308* inclusive of superannuation and allowances (salary $62,167 - $69,074). After initial 11-week training period salary will be $108,308 remuneration package. Base pay: $69,074 - $108,308 including allowances. Training: 8-week off-the-job training, followed by 3 weeks on-the-job training. Nationally recognised qualification CSC30122 Certificate III in Correctional Practice. All costs covered. 12-month training program may result in offer of ongoing employment. Responsibilities: Supervise, monitor and manage prisoners.Employ appropriate security measures to ensure safety of prisoners.Undertake escorts and respond to emergencies. Qualifications: Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent resident.Good character, strong communication and organisational skills.Good level of fitness and proven ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.A current First Aid Certificate.Northern Territory C class drivers licence with ability to drive a manual vehicle.
