Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants to join our in-home care team. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and support services to elderly clients in their residences, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in familiar surroundings. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assist clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques Support clients with meal preparation and feeding assistance as required Perform light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Monitor and report changes in clients'' health or wellbeing to supervisors Maintain accurate documentation and client records Follow all care plans and procedures as directed Respect client privacy, dignity, and cultural preferences at all times Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols Qualifications Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification, or willingness to obtain Certificate III in Individual Support must be obtained before commencing employment if not currently held Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver''s license and reliable vehicle (required for travel to client homes) Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays Availability to work day and evening shifts as required Must hold valid work visa or appropriate work authorisation to work in Australia Desirable Qualifications Previous experience in aged care or disability support Food preparation and housework experience Knowledge of infection control practices and hygiene Observation of changes and health behaviours What We Offer Flexible working arrangements Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people''s lives Career progression opportunities How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to *************@pearlhomecare.com.au Pearl Aged Care Shepperton is an equal opportunity employer.
