We are looking for an Experienced Homecare Worker to join the Silverchain team in Melton VIC 3337. Passionate about providing an excellent service. Can build positive relationships with clients and their families. Remain calm when a client has a bad day or there are delays. Comfortable working independently and seeking guidance when needed. A valid Australian Drivers Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle. Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability. Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications. The role In the role of Care Worker you will provide our aged care clients with home help services such as: General housekeeping and making beds Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors Washing, folding and ironing laundry Meal preparation and grocery shopping And personal care services such as: Assisting clients out of bed, showering and dressing Assisting with medications Assisting with mobility and therapy goals Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, such as dementia Providing social and emotional support Transport to lifestyle activities or appointments Helping the family carer get a break or the opportunity to do other things.
