First Nations Senior Software Engineer at Telstra As a First Nations Senior Software Engineer, you will apply your expert knowledge of First Nations culture to the ways of working, business and stakeholder engagement to understand and translate customer needs into new products and capability. You will also bring deep technical expertise and experience in the software application layer to develop and deliver scalable design blueprints across the endtoend software development life cycle. Build frontend user interfaces with React and other frameworks. Containerise services with Docker. Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, load balancers). Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design technical solutions, ensuring adherence to Microservice Design patterns. Apply authentication and authorization protocols (JWT, OAuth, certificates) to secure applications. Work with databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB). Use Redux for state management and Web Components for UI. Maintain accessibility standards and responsive design. Stay updated on new technologies and incorporate them into projects. Identify and implement improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and usability. About You Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, accepted by your community. Strong understanding of issues affecting First Nations peoples and cultural protocols. Deep knowledge of First Nations histories, cultures, and ways of knowing. Proven problemsolving and decisionmaking skills. Experience in program or project management. Ability to engage and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders. Collaborative mindset influencing change in fastpaced environments. 9+ years of handson development experience with Spring Boot & React. Strong coding skills in Java and NodeJS. UI development experience (React, Angular, Web Components). Experience with accessibility standards is required. Knowledge of AWS services (Fargate, Lambda, ECS) and serverless technology. Proficiency with CI/CD using GitLab or Bamboo. Experience with Microservice Design patterns, JWT, OAuth. Database experience (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB).
