Location : Sydney South West & M5 Corridor Work Type : Full Time Salary : 250,000 to 280,000 Located in Western Sydney Residential, commercial and mix-use developments INTERVIEWING NOW!!! The Role : Head of Design As the successful Head of Design, you will lead our design management team and play a pivotal role in establishing strong stakeholder and client relationships during the project''s early stages and foresee projects to completion. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating closely with estimating and delivery teams to develop work-winning strategies and value engineering proposals for efficient and cost-effective construction detailing. Mentoring and leading a team of Design Managers. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the senior leadership team. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills: Bachelor''s and / or Master''s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years'' experience in a Design Management role for a builder. Proven Project Management experience with a deep understanding of Time, Cost, and Scope. Demonstrated experience in functional briefs, consultant scopes, and engagements. Experience working on a variety of building types with values exceeding $50 million. Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and ACONEX. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive temperament and professionalism. Provide design-related advice to the administration and construction teams during the initial design stage. Ensure all teams are working with the latest architectural information. Review consultant output and agreements for compliance with the design brief. Collaborate with administration and construction teams to resolve site coordination matters. Review and check client sales documentation for design accuracy. Assist with the updating of Certification documentation, Maintenance, and Purchaser Manuals. Maintain effective communication with consultants and provide feedback to the administration and construction teams.
