The Opportunity Were searching for a strategic and commercially driven Head of Growth to define and deliver the NBLs growth strategy across all revenuegenerating channels. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this is a senior leadership role with accountability for commercial sales performance, revenue expansion, and the monetisation of league assets. Youll set strategy, drive execution, and build scalable growth capability that shapes the leagues commercial future. What Youll Do Growth Strategy & Commercial Leadership Act as a critical conduit between Executive and Sales teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and delivery of outcomes. Define revenue priorities, growth initiatives, and annual sales plans aligned to league objectives. Aid in setting revenue targets, growth KPIs, and accountability frameworks. Identify new markets, categories, and commercial models to drive longterm growth. Commercial Sales & New Business Development Lead seniorlevel new business development and highvalue commercial sales opportunities. Oversee and influence the sales pipeline across all major revenue streams. Personally lead negotiations on complex or highvalue deals. Ensure disciplined sales execution and performance against revenue targets. Use data, insights, and market intelligence to continuously refine sales strategy. Oversee and be responsible for the administrative process that supports and underpins the sales pipeline. Commercial Asset Monetisation Maximise the commercial value of NBL assets including sponsorship inventory, digital platforms, content, broadcast integrations, and events. Develop commercially compelling sales packages that align with client objectives and market demand. Work with internal teams to ensure sold assets are deliverable, scalable, and commercially optimised. Sales Strategy, Forecasting & Performance Contribute to the development and execution of the NBLs commercial sales strategy. Build accurate revenue forecasts and sales plans. Track, report, and analyse sales performance against targets and KPIs. Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, tools, and commercial effectiveness. CrossFunctional Growth Enablement Ensure sales initiatives are fancentric and enhance the overall NBL experience. Support clubs by identifying and executing leaguewide and clubaligned sales opportunities. Work closely with Partnership team to ensure seamless transition and integration of new partners into the organisation. Executive & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and prospects. Act as a trusted commercial contact throughout the sales lifecycle. Represent the NBL professionally in sales meetings, presentations, and industry engagements. Work with senior stakeholders to align sales priorities with league strategy. What Were Looking For Essential Senior leadership experience in commercial growth, sales, or revenue strategy (sports, media, or entertainment highly regarded). Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth and leading highperformance sales functions. Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience owning forecasts and revenue accountability. Demonstrated success negotiating complex, highvalue commercial agreements. Experience influencing executive stakeholders and operating at a strategic leadership level. Ability to develop compelling proposals and business cases. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Bonus Points For Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field. Deep understanding of sports, media, or entertainment commercial ecosystems. Experience across digital platforms, content, or broadcast assets.
