The Role Reporting directly to the Executive Head of College, the Head of Commercial Operations is a key member of the Senior College Leadership Team. This strategic, highimpact position provides oversight of all business, financial, operational, project management and compliance functions to ensure the College operates with integrity, sustainability and alignment to its Christian mission. Key Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership across all business, financial, and operational functions, ensuring alignment with the Colleges Christian mission and Strategic Plan 20262030. Partner with the Executive Head of College and Senior Leadership Team to drive financial sustainability, operational excellence and sound governance across five campuses. Oversee financial strategy, budgeting and reporting to ensure transparency, accountability and longterm sustainability. Lead major capital and infrastructure projects, delivering value, quality and effective project governance. Manage commercial contracts, tenders, supplier partnerships and dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and Board requirements. Oversee risk management and compliance frameworks, maintaining policy integrity and operational accountability. Foster a peoplefocused, faithaligned culture grounded in respect, service and excellence. Lead workforce planning, recruitment, professional development and wellbeing initiatives that empower highperforming teams. Ensure all campuses and facilities are safe, functional and inspiring environments that reflect the Colleges values and support continued growth. About You You are a strategic, innovative, and relational leader who brings strong commercial acumen and a heart for people. You thrive in complex, multisite environments and understand the importance of aligning operational excellence with a faithbased mission. Essential Criteria Proven experience in senior leadership across operations, finance or compliance, ideally within education or complex multisite organisational settings. Strong expertise in contract management, commercial negotiation and dispute resolution. Demonstrated success delivering largescale capital or infrastructure projects. Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire high performance. Strong systems, technology and analytical capability. Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Law or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable). A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to uphold and model Hillcrests ethos of Excellence in Christ.
