About the role The Chief Medical Radiation Scientist (MRS; aka Radiographer) in the Department of Radiology (''the Department''), Concord Repatriation and General Hospital (CRGH) is responsible to the Director of the Department (''DoD'') for the day-to-day operational management of the Department. The role involves a broad and varied range of accountabilities and activities including clinical, human resource management, governance and compliance, education and training, quality, finance, procurement, and performance functions.This position is responsible for operational leadership and management of all radiography functions of the Concord Hospital Radiology Department. We are looking for someone who has - A Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) as rendering the holder eligible for membership, registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); and possess a licence to operate irradiating apparatus under the NSW Radiation Control Act (NSW EPA Radiation Licence). - A Postgraduate management qualifications and / or equivalent management experience in a complex health environment.
