Job Description

LCB Civil is a locally owned and operated Civil Construction and Quarrying company based in Bundaberg, QLD. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced HSE & Compliance Manager to strengthen our safety, environmental and governance frameworks across all operations. Requirements of the role Proven experience in HSE, Training and/or Compliance roles within civil construction, quarrying or heavy haulage industries Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, QLD Mining & Quarrying Safety and Health requirements, and environmental compliance obligations Experience implementing and maintaining safety management systems (ISO 45001), quality management frameworks (ISO 9001) and environmental systems (ISO 14001 advantageous) Ability to develop, review and enforce procedures, SWMS, ITPs and compliance registers Strong audit capability and experience with incident investigations, corrective actions and closeout processes Excellent communication and reportwriting skills White Card and current driver licence Roles, responsibilities and role details Lead HSE and compliance functions across civil construction and quarrying operations Maintain and enhance safety, environmental, and quality management systems to industry and regulatory standards Undertake and coordinate Workplace Training including toolbox talks, inspections and workplace audits Manage incident reporting, investigations and rootcause analysis, ensuring timely corrective actions Maintain registers and documentation including SWMS, training matrixes, plant risk assessments, ITPs and hazard reports Support the onboarding and competency verification of employees and subcontractors Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and the Senior Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement Liaise with TMR, Council, QLD Mines Inspectorate, NHVR and other regulatory bodies as required Provide structured monthly reporting on safety performance, compliance status and improvement initiatives Based primarily in Bundaberg, QLD, with periodic travel to project sites This is a fulltime role, offering a competitive remuneration package aligned with experience and capability.
