(WCCA) is seeking a values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth, ensuring both sustainability and positive community impact, while shaping the future of community wellbeing across Cape York through purpose-led leadership.This is a rare opportunity for a compassionate and capable executive leader to work at the heart of a vibrant regional community, delivering essential services across Weipa, Napranum, and Mapoon.About WCCAWith a deep connection to place and community, WCCA plays a critical role in delivering essential services that strengthen safety, wellbeing, and resilience across the Cape York region. These services include Community Connection and Community Development initiatives, a womens Domestic and Family Violence shelter with associated Healing and Counselling services, Youth Drug and Alcohol programs (RADIO), the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS), and the operation of a community centre which includes an opportunity shop and caf.About the RoleReporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and cultural leadership across the organisation. You will lead service delivery, ensure strong governance and compliance, build financial sustainability, and strengthen partnerships with community, government, and sector stakeholders.This position requires a leader who is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable working in a regional and cross-cultural environment, and committed to supporting communities experiencing complex social challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all programs and servicesFoster a safe, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culturePartner with the Board on strategy, governance, risk, and organisational performanceDrive funding sustainability through grants, partnerships, and advocacyBuild and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous leaders, community members, government, and service providersEnsure compliance with legislative, funding, financial, and reporting requirementsLeadership StatementWe recognise that leadership pathways are diverse and that excellence can be demonstrated in many ways.
