ThePublic Aboriginal Health Alliance (PAHA) is seeking a highly capable Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role for a values-driven leader who brings strong commercial acumen, operational discipline, and a deep respect for Aboriginal community-controlled governance. PAHA exists to empower and support Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) across Western Australia. As COO, you will ensure PAHA''s corporate, financial, people, and systems foundations are strong, culturally secure, and fit-for-purposeenabling the organisation to grow its impact and better serve Member organisations. About the Role Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO provides strategic and operational leadership across PAHA''s "back-of-house" functions, including: Corporate Services and Operations Finance and Budgeting (in collaboration with the Accountant) Human Resources, Workforce Planning, and Industrial Relations Governance, Risk, and Compliance ICT, Systems, and Infrastructure Facilities, Fleet, and Asset Management Member Service Operations and Business Development You will work closely with the CEO and Deputy CEO to translate Board and executive priorities into measurable operational plans, build sustainable business models, and embed a performance-driven, culturally safe organisational culture. About You You are a senior executive with a proven track record in operations, finance, or corporate services, ideally within an Aboriginal organisation, ACCHO, NFP, or health / community sector environment. You will bring Strong business and commercial acumen, including experience building sustainable service models Advanced leadership capability across corporate services and multidisciplinary teams High-level financial management and governance expertise Sound understanding of HR, workforce planning, and industrial relations Experience leading tenders, procurement, and contract frameworks Cultural competence and respect for Aboriginal governance, protocols, and community leadership Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills Qualifications & Requirements Postgraduate qualifications in business, finance, management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) Executive-level experience (810+ years) in operations, finance, or corporate leadership National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) WA Driver''s Licence (C Class) COVID-19 vaccination evidence as required by funding bodies Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and alignment with PAHA''s values.
