Head of Trans-Tasman Clinical Workforce Development (Contract)We are seeking an experienced Head of TransTasman Clinical Workforce Development to design and deliver a largescale clinical workforce build operating simultaneously across New Zealand and Queensland, with planned expansion into New South Wales in the new year.Over an initial sixmonth period, this role will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and enabling a clinical workforce of up to 100 clinicians across both New Zealand and Queensland. This includes recruiting Nurse Practitioners alongside doctors and nurses, while building scalable recruitment, training, and professional development systems that can support rapid growth across multiple jurisdictions at the same time.The role focuses on delivery at pace, while maintaining clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and a strong clinician experience. The role does not carry statutory clinical governance or named professional lead responsibilities.What you will doClinical workforce recruitment at scaleDesign and execute a high-volume recruitment strategy to support the hiring of up to 50 clinicians over approximately six monthsDeliver recruitment activity concurrently across New Zealand and QueenslandRecruit Nurse Practitioners, doctors, GPs, and nurses across both jurisdictionsDefine role scopes, selection criteria, and interview frameworks that operate at scaleEnsure credential verification and background checks are consistently and efficiently appliedCredentialing and regulatory alignmentEstablish credentialing and compliance workflows aligned with New Zealand and Australian regulatory requirementsEnsure clinicians meet practising certificate, scope-of-practice, and continuing competence requirementsSupport audit and inspection readiness through clear documentation and evidence trailsClinical onboarding and training workflowsDesign structured onboarding workflows capable of supporting high-volume clinician intake across multiple jurisdictionsDevelop training pathways covering clinical induction, systems training, and governance expectationsBuild workflows that allow training to be delivered, tracked, and handed over at scaleDevelop systems to support CPD tracking, documentation, and revalidationIdentify or design ongoing education pathways aligned with regulatory expectationsEnsure professional development processes remain practical and low-friction as the workforce scalesDevelop a workforce strategy that supports concurrent growth across New Zealand and Queensland, and expansion into New South WalesAdvise leadership on workforce capacity, training lead times, and delivery risksSupport expansion into additional regions or services as requiredWhat we are looking forSenior experience in clinical workforce development, healthcare recruitment, or clinical educationDemonstrated experience scaling clinical teams quickly and safely across multiple locationsStrong understanding of nursing and medical regulation in New Zealand and/or AustraliaExperience designing recruitment, onboarding, and training workflows that work at volumeComfortable operating autonomously in regulated healthcare environmentsExperience recruiting or supporting Nurse PractitionersExperience working across both New Zealand and AustraliaExperience in telehealth or distributed clinical modelsAbout the roleThis role is central to enabling rapid, compliant clinical growth across New Zealand and Australia.
