Flexibility to work where works best in ways that work best for you and for the families we work with. Hours to suit part time 3 days all the way through to full time.Lived experience a strong understanding of the LGBTQIA community and / or previous experience in this field will be crucial to the success of this role. The LGBTQIA Family Practitioner will provide counselling to LGBTQIA people and their families / support networks as well as secondary consultation to other relevant community-based services across the state.The key outcomes sought areImproving the safety, security, mental health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA people.Improving family relationships, community connections, cohesion and support.Working with other service providers to ensure integrated provision of services and equity of access to services.Building LGBTQIA awareness and capacity within Anglicare Victoria and the local community.Make Your MarkBring learning from your degree such as social work, psychology, counselling or psychotherapy or accredited qualification in family therapy.Experience working within child protection placement and support services and/or family service systems with demonstrated understanding of the relevant legislative and policy frameworks.Experience in the application of evidence based theoretical frameworks in both short- and medium-term counselling interventions.An understanding of the issues facing the LGBTQIA community and the commitment to facilitating and advancing the wellbeing of people from LGBTQIA communities in a respectful and positive manner.Demonstrated skills and knowledge in providing leadership and mentoring to staff supporting complex and high-risk families.Advanced skills in clinical assessment including risk case formulation and care planning.Deliver quality evidence-based therapeutic counselling and/or family therapy to members of the LGBTQIA communities and their families / carers that promotes health and wellbeing and responds to the needs of the LGBTQIA individuals and their families.Strong focus on developing a positive high-performing and engaged team environment.Make it WorkAnglicare Victoria are proud to partner with Drummond Street Services Inc. to provide services to LGBTQIA people and their families both of origin and choice.A workplace with Rainbow Tick Accreditation and DCA Inclusive Employer recognition.You get a salary at SCHADS level 5 which equates to around $100,776 plus super.Flexible through the increments up to 5.3 (dependent upon experience).Position can be based anywhere across our vast North Central Region with flexibility to travel as needed.Office based with flex to work from home.Flexible hours part time 3 days through to full time.We take the Health and Wellbeing of our people seriously offering a Well Worth It!
