About Us Netball WA (NWA) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Participation Manager to lead the growth of netball participation across Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team and make a lasting impact on community engagement and inclusion in sport. Primary Purpose of Position This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week on a max term contract to cover a 12month period of parental leave. Reporting to the General Manager (GM) Community Netball the Participation Manager will be responsible for developing and growing participation community engagement and inclusion strategies and programs that will maximise the acquisition and retention of participants across existing and new markets whilst capitalising on the community connection to the West Coast Fever. The Participation Manager has a critical role to play in the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties Lead and develop the Participation workforce ensuring team cohesion and succession planning. Implement quality control measures for sustainable workforce development. Oversee the growth and sustainability of Participation and Community Engagement programs. Monitor financial and operational performance to meet objectives. Build and manage strategic partnerships with sponsors, government and education sectors. Contribute to operational planning, budgeting and event scheduling. Identify and secure external funding and grant opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments to deliver and promote programs. Manage governance tasks including reporting, data collection and grant acquittals. Respond to general enquiries and support commercial deliverables. Ensure compliance with NWA policies and child safeguarding standards. Perform other duties as directed by the GM Community Netball. Essential Criteria 12 years experience in a similar role. Strong leadership and team development skills. Proven ability to design and deliver community programs. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking.
