Deanes Coaches is a leading transport provider, proudly delivering reliable and professional bus and coach services across the region. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Operations Assistant to support our Operations Manager in the daytoday running of our transport operations. About the Role This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth coordination of our bus and coach services. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily operations, maintaining communication across teams, and ensuring compliance and administration standards are met. Youll work closely with the Operations Manager, drivers, maintenance staff, and the accounts team to keep our services running seamlessly. Key Responsibilities Communicate effectively with drivers and maintenance staff regarding scheduling, fleet issues, and operational updates Assist in the allocation of bookings and daily service runs Support the allocation and scheduling of fleet maintenance Review vehicle and staff availability to support quotation acceptances Conduct compliance checks and manage driver paperwork and recordkeeping Prepare and provide weekly updates to the accounts team to assist with payroll processing Respond to customer enquiries related to late running, accidents, incidents, and compliments Provide general administrative support to the Operations Manager and operations team Skills and Experience Proficiency in Microsoft365, particularly Excel Previous experience with booking or scheduling systems Strong communication skills able to engage confidently with staff, customers, and management Excellent organisation and time management abilities Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving A positive and professional outlook, with the ability to stay calm under pressure Why Join Deanes Coaches?
