We are currently seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our team at the Womans and Childrens Hospital North Adelaide and help maintain a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.As a Cleaner, you will work as part of the WCH facility team, carrying out a range of cleaning tasks across the hospital. Youll interact with patients, visitors and staff, always demonstrating confidentiality, empathy and professionalism.We are offering several part-time positions with a consistent MondayFriday roster, 6:00am10:00am.What youll do:General and detailed cleaning of patient rooms, clinical areas, public spaces and amenitiesFloor care, high dusting, damp wiping and spot cleaningCleaning of infectious/isolation areas and discharge cleansMaintaining equipment, reporting faults and restocking suppliesResponding to cleaning requests via handheld deviceFollowing infection control, safety and quality procedures at all timesWhat youll bring:Were looking for people who take pride in their work and understand the importance of hygiene in a healthcare setting.Experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning (preferred)Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and safe work practicesUnderstanding of infection control principlesHigh attention to detail and strong customer service focusAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyPlease note: As a prerequisite for this role, successful candidates will be required to undertake a preemployment medical, as well as provide an uptodate National Police Clearance, current Working with Children clearance and Immunisation history.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
