Team Member - Horticulture Cottesloe, Perth WA Government - Local Full time Approx. $69,500 p.a. plus Superannuation and allowances (Industrial Agreement). About the Opportunity The Town of Cottesloe is a valuesdriven organisation. We are seeking to appoint a capable person to join the Horticulture team to maintain our beautiful surrounds. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy manual tasks, can take direction, and want to contribute to the outcomes of a great team. The Team Member - Horticulture will provide a high standard of horticultural maintenance in designated parks and gardens and other prominent locations within the Town of Cottesloe. Key duties Tree pruning, planting and weed control; Whippersnipping and mowing; Mulching, hedging and other general gardening duties; Drainage maintenance; Litter control and miscellaneous tasks. Ensuring equipment and vehicles are clean and serviceable at all times. About you The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications, experience and personal attributes necessary to perform effectively in this role. Essential Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance and / or general labouring activities; Welldeveloped initiative and problemsolving skills; Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for self and others; Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team; High level of attention to detail. Additional Requirements Current Australian Working Rights; Current "MR" Class Driver''s Licence, minimum; High risk work licence, for EWP (or willingness to obtain); White Card (or willingness to obtain); Chainsaw certification (or willingness to obtain); Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain); Willingness to undergo a PreEmployment Medical (as required).
