Executive Director (Grants) Queensland Government Overview Lead the Grants division of Legal Aid Queensland, managing the budget and purchasing arrangements for legal services that support the delivery of highquality, costeffective legal aid to vulnerable and disadvantaged Queenslanders. Responsibilities Lead and manage external and inhouse legal service purchasing and support casework costs. Direct, lead and support a team of managers and Grants Officers across Queensland, fostering a culture of client service, accountability and high performance. Advise the CEO, senior executive directors, board and Executive Management Team on strategies, policies and procedures for efficient and effective purchasing of legal services. Develop plans and strategies for Grants consistent with the organisations strategic plan and ensure objectives are achieved. Allocate resources against budget, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the performance of the Grants Division. Maintain strong networks and relationships with key stakeholders across LAQ to drive grantrelated business transformation and improve client and partner experiences. Prepare submissions in response to complex and sensitive issues relating to Grants. Resolve conflict between Legal Aid Queensland and private suppliers in relation to grant decisions on behalf of the CEO and Senior Executive Directors. Qualifications & Experience Experience operating within an Executive Management Team with a strategic mindset and ability to improve effectiveness in a changing environment. Knowledge of Queensland legal procedures and practices and understanding of financial implications of alternative internal and external service delivery funding methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating, delegating, mentoring, and encouraging continuous learning and performance reviews.
