About the Opportunity Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, the General Manager Corporate Strategy will lead ASC''s enterprise strategy across a multidecade horizon, ensuring we are positioned to deliver our role in the Optimal Pathway with clarity, credibility, and resilience. The Optimal Pathway is the longterm plan guiding Australia''s transition from today''s capability to a conventionally armed, nuclearpowered submarine fleet. In partnership with the Business, you will work closely with the Board, Executive Committee and senior leaders to shape enterprise priorities and direct the strategic operating rhythm. This is a central, highly visible role that connects programs, functions and stakeholders, fostering collaboration while decisively guiding outcomes in an always evolving environment. Responsibilities Set and steer ASC''s enterprise strategy across the 30year Optimal Pathway; aligning priorities, derisking delivery, and maintaining organisational coherence Design and refine the strategic operating model and decisionmaking frameworks to enable transparency, accountability and speed Integrate external intelligence (technology, regulation, market and sociopolitical trends) to inform strategy, positioning and stakeholder influence Facilitate Board and Executive strategy forums Own strategic performance reporting: establish balanced scorecards, metrics and executive performance forums to illuminate what matters and track progress Champion organisational alignment and collaboration through connecting corporate functions with program strategies, and leading the Enterprise Portfolio Committee Build and develop a highperforming team, expanding capability across strategic analysis, planning and reporting About You Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline 15+ years'' experience, ideally across heavy asset or longlife capital environments (e.g., energy, mining, infrastructure, shipbuilding, oil & gas) and/or investment contexts Comfort with ambiguity and a flexible toolkit of methods Demonstrated background in enterprise strategy, enterprise portfolio management, strategic governance, and operating model design Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and facilitate strategic decisionmaking Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to simplify complexity Collaborative leadership style with confidence to challenge constructively and drive outcomes This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level.
