Mutual trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do.The RoleA great career opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Insurance team in Melbourne in the area of Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Liability. This includes providing advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and strategy for resolution and defending claims against solicitors, barristers, engineers, construction professionals, accountants and other financial services, estate agents and medical practitioners. In this role you will be working with Insurance Partners who are independently recognised as experts in their field.Responsibilities will include the following:File management including meeting deadlines and managing documentsReviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantumCommunicating with clients both in writing and verballyIdentifying issues, briefing experts and analysing opinionPreparing court documents, including statements of evidenceDrafting correspondence and communicating with other practitionersPreparing for, managing online processes and appearing in CourtBriefing and liaising with counselBusiness development and nurturing client relationshipsWho We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have at least 7 years'' post admission experience with demonstrated expertise in the field. The successful applicant will be an integral member of a cohesive and collaborative team, have strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage, maintain and grow client relations.
