Catering Assistant | Permanent Positions | Dunsborough and Busselton Catering Assistant & Kitchenhand Hospitality Roles | Permanent Part-Time Positions Location: Busselton & Dunsborough facilities. About Us: Capecare is a notforprofit organisation that has proudly provided Aged Care services in the Capes Region for over 60 years. We are currently seeking experienced and capable Permanent Part-Time Catering Assistants and Kitchenhands to join our dedicated teams in Busselton and Dunsborough. About the Role: The Catering Assistant and Kitchenhands play a vital role in supporting the overall wellbeing of residents by contributing to their dining experiences. They help create a welcoming atmosphere during mealtimes and work diligently to ensure that residents receive nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high standards of work while providing considerate, personcentred care to our residents. Our shift times are: Monday to Sunday: 7-1:30 pm and 4pm-7pm.Permanent shifts currently available are Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Meal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, which may include chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Chef. Serving Meals: Help in serving meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring that each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements. Dining Room Setup: Set up the dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean, and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place. Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area. They may also help with cleaning kitchen surfaces and storage areas. Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate. The Ideal Candidates Will Have: Experience in Hospitality, Aged Care, Customer Service or Hospital environment and/or related field ideal. Food Handling Certificate is desirable but not essential. Experience with specific dietary needs (desirable). Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team within a fastpaced environment. A genuine passion for providing quality care to older Australians.
