About the Role: Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Were looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping kids, is eager to learn, and thrives in a supportive environment. Youll work closely with our Speech Pathologists or Occupational Therapist to help deliver therapy programs, prepare fun therapy activities, and support the smooth running of our sessions and clinic. About You Youre caring, organised, and a great communicator. You love working with children and enjoy being part of a friendly, collaborative team. What Youll Do Deliver face-to-face therapy sessions based on programs developed by the supervising Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist. Deliver and support a range of group programs. Help children practice skills in play-based and everyday activities. Prepare therapy materials and resources. Visit children in their home or community when needed. Take part in supervision and professional development. Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation. Develop, update, and maintain therapy tools, visual aids, and client handouts. Provide administrative assistance including photocopying, word processing, and client communication. Position Criteria Previous experience working with children within a school or pre-school based setting, as a teachers aide or childcare assistant. Completed Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (HLT43015) with Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology stream. Currently studying a recognised Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy degree. Overseas-trained therapist awaiting Australian recognition. Demonstrated ability to follow therapy programs under supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centred care. Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
