Grafton District Services Club (GDSC), located in the historic town of Grafton along the Clarence River in Northern New South Wales, offers an exceptional setting for food and restaurant services.Surrounded by heritage architecture and lush natural landscapes, the club benefits from its proximity to Yuraygir National Park''s unspoiled coastline, as well as major hubs like Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast. Grafton District Services Club (GDSC) boasts a vibrant dining scene with its bistro and restaurants offering a variety of culinary delights. Known for high-quality meals, the venues cater to diverse tastes, from classic Australian favorites to modern dishes.With a welcoming atmosphere, GDSC provides an excellent dining experience for both locals and visitors. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 3 years'' experience in a similar position.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skillsStrong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishesDemonstrate a keenInterest in growing food trends and techniquesAbility to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control.Work with the management team on food preparation and seasonal menu planningStock orderingLabour cost control and assist the owners with rosteringA sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHSImmaculate presentation and groomingAbility to handle large service numbersAbove average customer care and service skillsMust be able to train our junior team on cooking techniques and proceduresAssist with staff hiring and trainingExperience on grill and fryer section highly desirablePlanning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food suppliesDiscuss customer requirements and request with the frost on house teamYOU MUST BEAvailable nights, weekends and school holidays.FlexiblePositive with a can-do attitudeWilling to join our team and be part of something great!If you have a passion for creating food in the kitchen and the hospitality industry and this sounds like you, please applyBe careful - Dont provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
