Share a Cuppa and a Chat Volunteer Opportunity in Bell Park VIC 3215 The Role: The Aged Care Volunteer Visiting Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government, connects volunteers with an older person who is feeling lonely and/or socially isolated, to build friendships and reduce feelings of loneliness. In your volunteer role you will be paired with an aging senior to provide them regular social support visits in their home. Activities during your visit are based on yours and your clients'' interests and could include conversation, playing board games, listening to music or sharing stories. Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community! Our Client: A warm and friendly woman in her 80s living in Bell Park, VIC, would love to be matched with a volunteer visitor who shares her interests. She enjoys playing cards, chatting, gardening, and short walks. Previously active in her local Catholic Church, she values family and companionship. Due to chronic back issues, she uses a walker but loves connecting with people. Suggested activities include having a cuppa in the garden, chatting, and card games.
